Oppo’s announcement

Recently, smartphone manufacturer Oppo announced the release of the Oppo Find 7, an Android phone that boasts some of the most impressive specifications of any mobile device in history. Oppo utilizes proprietary software that combines images that are taken in a series with the 13-megapixel camera to create a 50-megapixel image.

The Oppo Find 7 is scheduled to launch around the world in April 2014. The phone specs include:

  • 5.5-inch quad HD display with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot capable of supporting 128GB of external storage
  • 3,000 mAh battery
  • Android 4.3 with the custom ColorOS
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz processor

For those who are unfamiliar with the technical nitty-gritty, the quad HD display, Snapdragon processor and RAM are the highest ever witnessed on a mobile device. With a 50-megapixel camera thrown into the mix, the Find 7 is cutting-edge technology. These specifications rival some lower-mid range computers. This marvelous machine can be purchased as a SIM-unlocked GSM for $599.

The company will also offer a cheaper version, the Find 7a, which has decreased specs including 16GB of storage, a 2.3 GHz processor, 2,800 mAh battery and a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution display for a reasonable price tag of $499.
