It has been close to 40 years since Motorola came out with a prototype of the first ever mobile phone and since then, the company has been in the shadows of technology giants such as Samsung and Apple. After being acquired by Google, it is safe to say that Motorola is back with the release of their latest Smartphone, the Moto X. Powered by Google’s Android operating system, the phone has already caught the eyes of the public with the amazing customization options available to them. The phone adopts a new concept in design and innovation as well as looks to dazzle many consumers with its relatively low price of $200.

What many smartphones lack in their designs is exactly what Motorola has added to stay one step ahead. Most smartphones come in the classic combination of black and white with Nokia Lumia series being the only other Smartphone that comes in red, black and blue. The Moto X has 18 different back covers from which the user can choose from. There is even an option for a black or white phone charger which is not normally seen by any other phone manufacturer. The phone is as slime as the Apple’s iPhone 5 and with its 4.7-inch screen, viewing images and internet browsing has become much simpler.

The Features

One of the best features that the Moto X has is the hands-free voice command. Normally, voice commands are used to make a call or send a text but the Moto X’s virtual assistant has opened the door to the World Wide Web. The commands are specific to the user’s voice which means that no one else can command the phone. When you speak into the phone, it uses Google now to retrieve information. In order to activate it, all you have to do is say, ‘Ok, Google Now’.
